BBC Great British Story
The Great British Story: A People’s History, was a new landmark series that told the story of Great Britain and Northern Ireland through the lives of ordinary people, looking at 1600 years of our history. The eight part TV series, presented by Michael Wood began in the middle of May on BBC Two.
To bring the series to viewers, Keystone were commissioned to design and produce a road show that visited five different venues through Great Britain including the Museum of Liverpool, Ickworth House in Bury St Edmunds and St Fagans in South Wales.
It was a free event where visitors could find out about their local history, the origin of their surname, how to look after a family artefact and many other things. Talks were also held throughout the day by local historians, and often chaired by Michael Wood.
