The Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons (SPVS) and the Veterinary Management Group (VMG formerly VPMA) held their sixth combined Congress in January 2018. This was the fifth managed for them by Keystone at the Celtic Manor Resort.
Delegates were offered the most extensive programme yet with over 500 delegates and a record-breaking 80 exhibiting companies attended the two days of lectures which covered everything from why we need great vets as leaders to attracting new graduates, from team cohesion and resilience in the workplace to how to approach GDPR.
Congress was opened by Benjamin Mee, motivational speaker, journalist and the man behind bestselling book and Hollywood blockbuster ‘We Bought a Zoo’. Other highlights included Andy McCreadie from Sandler Training in the popular High Performing Teams stream, plus Leonie Lightfoot speaking to a packed room on the Chimp Paradox theory.
Keystone ran the upfront delegate and exhibitor registration process, the development of the programme, organised the social programme and managed the whole event on-site.
