The Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons (SPVS) came back together in January 2025 for three days of non-clinical lectures and interactive workshops across four streams held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
The event welcomed around 500 attendees, and the exhibition, featuring more than 60 sponsors and exhibitors, each year growing significantly, both in scale and strategic importance. Thanks to focused exhibitor engagement, sponsor retention, and practical, outcome-focused programming, demand has outgrown the current space. As a result, the exhibition will move to a larger room in 2026 to better accommodate the expanding exhibition and enhance the delegate experience.
Maximising value for exhibitors and creating meaningful face-to-face interactions with delegates remains a key focus. 2025 saw the launch of ‘Business Club Live’, an innovative speed networking session that received overwhelmingly positive feedback and will become a key feature going forward.
And when the formal learning paused, attendees enjoyed a vibrant social calendar including virtual horse racing and the ever-popular Friday night President’s Party.
