Background
The Society of Practicing Veterinary Surgeons (SPVS) and the Veterinary Management Group (VMG formerly VPMA) approached Keystone to run their regional training programme. From 2011 to present, we have run a substantial programme of one-day events nationwide covering topics as diverse as ‘Management Mastery’ to ‘Greening up the Vet Profession’, ‘Vet Wellbeing in Practice’ to ‘Profitable Practice’.
We also run regular ‘mini-conferences’ focusing on topics such as Leadership, Technology, HR and Finance. Each of the days present two streams of workshops and a focused exhibition.
Taking training online
In 2020 we’ve taken everything online with a programme of live webinar CPD events. These included a series of one-hour sessions, incorporating homework and preparation in between, and a number of interactive full-day courses developed to best suit the online format.
We have also hosted 2 ‘Focus Days’, which both included live and interactive speaker sessions across two simultaneous streams along with a virtual exhibitor hall, a community chat facility and a hard-fought prize for the most engaged attendee. The December ‘Focus on Leadership and Management’ day was attended by more than 400 delegates and was also made available as recorded sessions to catch-up on as required.
We believe that it is vital to offer virtual events that recreate all that can be achieved in an attended event (without the time and cost involved with travelling to a venue!). We create live and interactive sessions, enable Q&A sessions with speakers, networking with exhibitors and socialising in online breakout rooms and in-platform video conferencing.
For all events, be they live, virtual or hybrid, Keystone are responsible for the programming, event set up, marketing, technical production, registration and management on the day.
