Background
The Vet Wellbeing Awards were created by Keystone for the Society of Practising Vets (SPVS) in partnership with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Mind Matters Initiative. The Awards have been running annually since 2016, highlighting some of the great examples of practices supporting the wellbeing of their staff.
Highlighting and celebrating veterinary wellbeing
Having worked with SPVS on their events for many years, Keystone were tasked with setting up and running their wellbeing awards. Since 2016, we have managed the awards website and the awards entry process, along with the judging and presentation of the winners awards.
Due to the uncertainties and additional challenges faced by practices during Covid, the wellbeing awards were suspended for 2020 and 2021, and in place the focus is on celebrating and thanking individuals championing wellbeing in their workplace. The Practice Star Certificate programme recognises the contribution made by people to improve the wellbeing of others.
